Hi, I am JL.

In an increasingly AI-centric world, I believe that staying true to being human-centric is the key to harnessing new technologies for good.

I believe that creating value for users is the key to delivering business and organisational success. During my early career in public healthcare, I learnt the importance of patient-centric design in improving patients’ experiences and health outcomes.

Pursuing a postgrad degree in the UK began my journey of working on problems in a different geography, understanding the needs of people living in different markets, and working alongside partners in teams of different cultural diversities. Before I left for UK, I managed to secure short stints in a local rising start-up and a forward-thinking non-profit organisation, to work with some of the best locally.

Many wondered how an accountancy undergraduate could have chosen to work in healthcare operations and now dabbling in design and innovation. But doing so had allowed me to understand society from the lens of different disciplines, and those experiences had been invaluable.

After Hyper Island, I collaborated many like-minded individuals and organisations to make an impact for the public good. I welcome opportunities to work with the like-minded, and would be more than happy to chat with anyone who has ideas or opinions to share about it.
